Announcing Úll 2016
When we loaded up the truck and drove away from the Europe Hotel in Killarney last April we fully expected that it would be the last time. We had dreams and schemes. Maybe a tiny little self catering place on an island in a lake in Northern Ireland? What about somewhere on the rugged west coast — an Úll with crashing waves and the power of the sea as a backdrop. How about Dublin? It would be nice to do a city buzz again.
We researched, and visited and debated. We toured, we listened to sales pitches, we drank the free coffee and smiled politely while thinking, “This just doesn’t feel right.”.
Sometimes a place just feels right. So we’re taking Úll back to The Europe in 2016.
This is the first time we’ve ever returned to an Úll location. It’s the first time we’ve ever wanted to.
The Europe is spectacular. The location is jaw-droppingly beautiful. The facilities are damn near perfect. The entire team at the Europe have been unfailingly, “nothing is too much to ask”, “whatever we can do to help” supportive of Úll.
We’re taking that support and running with it. Despite being in the same location, 2016 is a change year for Úll. We’re taking all the energy and resources that we would have spent finding and working with a new location and are pouring that into building a new Úll. The same, but different. Familiar, but exciting. We can’t wait to see you there.
