20 Tips for Entrepreneurs

I want to share with you today twenty quick thoughts I gathered from past 10X Growth Conferences. Some are my own, some I got from others.

Either way, I believe you can benefit from each of these.

Here we go:

#20 When leading people don’t make suggestions, make decisions.

#19 If you can’t brand yourself in two to five words, you don’t understand your brand.

#18 There is a big difference between being busy and being productive.

#17 Before anyone accomplished anything, somebody had to take a chance.

#16 Don’t allow someone else to set your goals.

#15 Whatever business you are in, you are in the business of people.

#14 You become what you think about most of the time.

#13 Those who don’t like or want control… are the ones with the control problem.

#12 There’s no shortage of money, only a shortage of people who have money.

#11 If you don’t educate yourself, you’ll spend all your money making foolish decisions.

#10 It takes more than just hustle to make it big — you need skills.

#9 You can be in sales over 30 years and you still have to update your pitch.

#8 Being around others at or above your level takes you higher.

#7 If you want spectacular people, it starts with you being spectacular.

#6 Go harder when everyone else has had enough.

#5 If you want success, all you need to do is model those who have already succeeded.

#4 You can never out-earn your self-esteem.

#3 To raise your profile and build your brand, develop yourself as an authority — and that requires you have an opinion.

#2 Life is a series of mentors. Get a mentor you can’t easily outgrow.

#1 Timing will never be perfect for anything.

Maybe the timing for 10X Growth Conference 3 this February 1–3 isn’t perfect for you. But ask yourself honestly, will next year’s dates really be any better?

Make room for the world’s largest business conference, you’ll be glad you did.
