Dawn of a New Era in Deep Space

James Webb Telescope launched from a planet Earth “Blue Dot” on December 25, 2021, on an Ariane 5 rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, South America, in the cosmos of silent seas of mysteries, wonders, and astonishing godly objects. Its primary functions are further improved from its predecessors to more accurately examine the farthest corners of the universe — eventually extending humanity’s reach in the cosmos mechanically.

What looks much like craggy mountains on a moonlit evening is actually the edge of a nearby, young, star-forming region NGC 3324 in the Carina Nebula. Captured in infrared light by the Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) on the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope, this image reveals previously obscured areas of star birth. Called the Cosmic Cliffs, the region is actually the edge of a gigantic, gaseous cavity within NGC 3324, roughly 7,600 light-years away.
