Would We Ever Be Able to Become a Type 2 Civilization

Presently, we’re not even a type 1 civilization so what would be the prospects of becoming a type 2 civilization?

We, Humans, are a result of millions of years of evolution from single-celled organisms to the most advanced form of life ever known to this observable universe. But still, Humans are not technologically mature enough to control the apparently essential elements of civilizational growth. Climate change, energy crisis, social and political instability, cultural discontent, religious contentions, hyper-nationalism, orthodoxy, and war has consumed the maximum mental capacity of stakeholders globally instead of doing extraordinary to uplift the collective global development and growth.

This article is the continuation of the previous article in the Future series.

The idea of a Type 2 civilization, as first proposed by Russian astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev in 1964, is one of the most intriguing and ambitious concepts in the study of civilization.
