270…Tough Guys

I played football and wrestled in high school, and wasn’t terrible at either.

In college I worked at a bar for awhile as a bouncer.

At 36 years old I’m 6’2" and weigh more than 250 and I deadlift 545, squat 455, and bench 345.

I’m telling you all of this because I don’t consider myself a tough guy, despite some of the bona fides you’d look for in a tough guy.

There’s a guy I’ve known for 27 years who played an entire football season with a broken arm, served multiple tours in Iraq, and thanks to countless miles humping a rucksack around the desert ended up with multiple ruptured discs in his spine.

When he got married he was unable to dance with his wife because standing for more than a few minutes at a time was excruciating. He hasn’t gotten it fixed because to do so would make it difficult if not impossible to pick up and play with his kids.

So instead he lives in constant pain without complaint until the day that his kids are too old to be picked up.

He doesn’t consider himself a tough guy.

So why does POTUS, a 5x deferment, multi time abuser, political coward consider himself a tough guy?

He’s not a tough guy. He’s a pussy and a coward. He’s a bully who uses the strength of others to puff himself up. But that isn’t the saddest part about him. The saddest part isn’t about him at all.

How weak and cowardly do you have to be to think that guy is tough?
