The Fidget Cube has been around for years already since its Kickstarter days to now having sold almost more than $4 million worldwide.

I first saw the gadget on sale when I was looking for a little something to gift to my partner on our casual date, to surprise him. It was early Christmas time, and probably the gift shop was clearing up.

So I got one for him and as you’d expect- the guy loved it!

I could see him playing his red, black and white fidget cube all the time. It was in the bag all the time; he’d carry it on his way to the parking even! And so I thought to myself, that was a hit! Cheap, practical, looks amazing- that’s exactly what a gift should be like!

I wanted one for myself. And so.. I joined the band wagon.

Am I really?

Meanwhile, I was spending hours reading Kickstarter stories about this amazing gadget and the other fidget toys that are available now (fidget pad, fidget spinners, and what not.. ), youtube reviews — this whole new world had opened to me.

Anyhow, fast forward to today — I’ve owned the click, spin, roll, dial, glide, breathe fidget cube for almost six months now.

Until I realised….

How often have I really used it?

I even tried to use it every day. But I was either too busy or too occupied, or I literally had to type or cook or clean or write to be using this gadget I really wanted to use.

Or I’d at least I thought I wanted to use.

The cube, the spinner, the pad …

It’s been a good few years in the gadget industry that humans are evolving so rapidly that almost every fortnight might be the onset of a new gadget, a new cool kid on the block, a new trend.

I’m also of total agreement of the fact that such devices might help someone with fidgety or nervous symptoms. I’ve read enough reviews that I know it has been key to have bettered a lot of behavioral aspects of a lot of people.

But its only from my personal experience that I’m slowly realising how less I need to remain less fidgety, maintain more peace and experience abundance.

Side note- I honestly wish I was that person who loved it so much that Antsy Labs would actually contact them to sponsor it, but I’ll maintain my authenticity perhaps.

On that note, I am hoping that you’re experiencing genuinely happy troughs, especially since the onset of the new year and wishing you the best of decorum — fidgety or not!

Until next month. Take care and happy reading.
