The Battered

Part 1

Lenore lay broken and bruised at the edge of the world. The salt water washed over her tattered body sending searing pain through all her wounds with every crashing wave. Each surge reminded her of what had happened. Hot tears rolled down her face and into the ocean where they met, and were lost into, the angry waters.

Further up the beach sat a group of four men in white armor. Their laughs and hollers grew in intensity with each and every one of Lenore’s screams. These men had beaten her, taking what was not theirs to take from her.
