Kaite drove his horse forward, sword held high. The black blade almost seemed like it had captured the last rays of sun. In a vicious arc, Kaite brought the stone blade down, cleaving a knight’s helmet it two. He was immediately knocked from his horse, his body slamming into the ground. As Kaite lay on the plains he could hear the screams of his men echoing into the evening.

The knights seemingly left him behind. Maybe they though he was dead. Maybe they didn’t even care if he was. The screams of the living rang out long into the night.
