The horns blew a terrible, low, visceral sound that shook the very ground. Kaite strained to see the horror that swept down in the distance. Like an avalanche, the army of Syre poured down the mountainside, crashing onto the plains and quickly swiftly their way towards Kaite’s small militia.

Then a hushed silence hung in the air. The men started to get restless, clearly spooked. After what seemed like an eternity, they heard the oncoming rush of knights. Kaite raised his black blade to the sky, catching the last rays of the setting sun as it slid behind the mountains.
