Congratulations to Stacey Abrams for her AAMBC Awards nomination as Romance Author of the year. Miss Abrams along with four other phenomenal authors of African-American romance have been selected in the 15th AAMBC Awards nominee announcement presentation on May 1, 2023. Winners of the Romance Author of the year and various other literary-based categories will be announced at the 15th annual AAMBC Awards ceremony held August 6, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia as part of Black Writers Weekend.

Stacey Abrams is a household name recognized by many for her tireless efforts of political, social, and judicial activism. Stacey Abrams wears multiple hats as a lawyer, entrepreneur, activist, trailblazer, politician, and writer. Her fearless determination to impact the world and make effective changes toward the progression of women and other marginalized communities through her writing and activism continues to showcase the reasons this phenomenal woman is a force to be reckoned with.

A rising star in the world of politics, Miss Abrams has become a history maker in her own rights. In 2010 Miss Abrams made history by becoming the first African-American minority leader in the Georgia House of Representatives. In 2018 Stacey again made history being the first African-American woman to cinch the Democratic nominee bid for the Georgia gubernatorial race.
