AAMBC Literary Awards 2020 nominees are revealed.

In its 12th year, the nominees for this year’s award season in black publishing have been revealed. The nominations come at a time when the cultural climate has shifted allowing a new wave of writers in publishing and in film to achieve success and break barriers. This year’s Street Lit category surprisingly was dominated by all women as well as the category for Debut Author of the Year. With a list of twenty-four categories from the Readers Choice Award to Literary Activism; it features new categories for sci-fi writers and podcasts, clearly opening doors for creatives who create outside of books and film.

During this year AAMBC Inc, the powering force behind black writers weekend host a series of events from; book signings, panels and socials, parties, and artists talks. The winners will be announced live during Black Writers Weekend in Atlanta, Ga June 11–14.
