The Dog Days of Summer occur between the days of July 12th and August 20th. These days are the hot humid days of summer. These are the days where some people choose to stay inside and hide from the heat. These days are considered the hottest of the summer. They are also known to be the most disagreeable days of the summer in the Northern Hemisphere. In history these days were the time following the heliacal rising of the star system Sirius. According to Greek and Roman astrology the heliacal rising of the star system Sirius connects with the weather conditions unforeseen thunderstorms, drougt, and heat. The heliacal rising of the star system Sirius is also associated with lethargy which is the condition of tiredness, fatigue, weariness. Other things associated with the heliacal rising of the star system Sirius are fever, rabies, and bad luck. The weather conditions, bodily functions, and lack of good luck associated with these days shows how unpleasant they are.

The dog days of summer are those days where you can stay inside and hide from the heat or you might be someone who enjoys the hot humid weather. Before these days begin if you are not someone who enjoys the hot tempers maybe you could plan some inside activities to do. If you get fatigued easily you would be better off staying inside as much as possible. The weather conditions are nothing to play with so if you know you’ll be outside all day keep water and energizing snack with you.

DOG DAYS of SUMMER

The Dog Days of Summer,

They make you wonder,

Why are these hot humid days so long,

You will get through them just be strong,

Weather that plays with your mood,

Temperatures that cause people to fued,

The humidity is really rude,

The type of conditions that’ll give the nicest person a bad attitude,

The days where you might want to lay around your home,

Heat makes you want to be left alone,

Feeling less than energized during these Dog Days of Summer,

But when they are gone it could be a bummer.
