From Novels to Screenwriting — There’s Nothing Gay Can’t Do

Roxanne Gay, author of the New York Times bestselling novel Bad Feminist, has volunteered to write “Batgirl” movie as Joss Whedon’s replacement.

The Purdue professor took to her Twitter page on February 22nd to let DC Comics know she was ready and willing.

Her offer was well received by Michelle Wells, vice president of Warner Bros Entertainment and DC Comics who replied to Gay that if she was serious, to contact her.

Gay co-wrote the comic book “Black Panther: World of Wakanda” in 2016 and recently expressed disappointment to Marvel for her not being invited to the premier of “Black Panther” the movie.

Gay is currently in the process of writing the screenplay for her novel An Untamed State that was published in 2014.
