Trevor Noah, comedian and host of The Daily Show, will publish a follow up memoir that is reportedly due by November 13, 2018. Spiegel and Grau, the publishers of his first book will publish this book also.

Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, Noah’s first novel was a New York Times Bestseller for 26 weeks that won two NAACP awards and the James Thurber Prize for humor.

Noah said his reasoning for authorizing a book initially was, “I couldn’t find a good book about myself so I decided to write one, and just like me this book doesn’t have an appendix.”

The follow up novel is currently untitled and will reportedly pick up where Born a Crime left off and depict his journey as a comedian in South Africa.

“Trevor Noah is a naturally brilliant storyteller — funny and light on his feet, but with moments of true depth and emotional resonance.” said Chris Johnson, executive editor at Spiegel and Grau. “He has a remarkable tale to tell. We’re very excited to bring Trevor’s vivid and original voice to readers in this book about the power and necessity of laughter even — or especially — in the face of the world’s absurdities and injustices.”
