I was actually told by a psychometrist my freshman year of college that I would “benefit from knowing” that I didn’t have ADHD.

I did not benefit from that information.

Turns out, the undiagnosed ADHD was causing all sorts of anxiety around reading social cues, paying attention for long periods of time, and sitting still in situations where I was expected to do so.

After my formal diagnosis, I struggled for a long time to know what to do.

Medication was something I relied on and wrestled with for quite some time, and have only recently stepped away from it after reading Faster Than Normal by ADHD entrepreneur Peter Shankman.
