Update on Fisher’s quantum brain

An important piece of the puzzle being investigated in this blog is the possibility of quantum information processing in the brain. Matthew Fisher at UCSB has had some ideas on solid epistemological ground over the past few years, and there’s a great write-up in Quanta Magazine.

A new update on this story: Fisher has received $1.2M in funding from the Heising-Simons Foundation to launch the Quantum Brain Project (QuBrain) at UCSB. This is very exciting, and we will certainly be covering this project as it develops.
