Jamie rang Yulia immediately after the meeting in the bar.
“You’ve got the gig,” he told her. “Want to go out somewhere to celebrate?”
“Think I’m more of a mind to celebrate at home, if you know what I mean.”
Jamie knew what she meant.
When he got back, she was standing at the window and didn’t turn round as he came in.
“How do you know who this is?” he said, in an attempted foreign accent, as he kissed her neck and held her hips.
She said nothing but pressed back into him.
Afterwards, still standing at the window, she turned and said, “I love watching the little heads of people walking to and fro below while we are doing that.”
“You’re a bit kinky, you know that?”
“And that’s why you can’t get enough of me.” She pushed past him and went to the bathroom.
