How to Track Space Objects on Orbit

An ever-increasing number of objects and dynamic observation requirements—complicated by the constant motion of sensors, targets, Earth and the Sun—necessitates adaptive machine learning techniques for tracking space objects.

AeroTel, a 1-meter telescope, serves as the sensor testbed for Prime Focus.
The animation above provides a visual representation of just a small fraction of the orbital elements in the Space Catalog. SDA will require artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions as the space environment grows more contested and congested.
