Forest in the Night | out from the fog

Inch by inch, it tumbles across the floorboards and splits into tendrils

Dusk falls swiftly, covering the curtains and creeping across the floor in a looming shadow. Inch by inch, it tumbles across the floorboards and splits into tendrils, like ivy upon a shady mansion wall. Gathering, it grows thicker now. Robust branches sprout inky leaves and flower and bear fruit and wither into pods that disintegrate into shadow once again. Inch by inch it creeps up the sides of the bed, along the walls and the ceiling. Looming and coalescing, the night brings a forest with it.
