Departure | ambassadors of time

Coming and going.

Untitled — Unknown

Life arrives, teary;
and then death remains, bleary;
coming and going.

Newly shed tears are the ambassadors of birth and rest eternal: the babies and the old, the exalted and the condemned, the beautiful and the lonely; all depart the known conscious through a sudden blink of the eye — where a swell overcomes the rim — with iridescent droplets, violently torn from the irid, flung into the air and down the face and greeting pale lips or a joyous cry.

never one without the other, never far apart; inhale, exhale.
