My Promise to You | stitches in the wound

keep it together, for god’s sake.

I can’t promise you,

that all our days will be bright.

I can’t promise you,

that peace will hover over our every night.

There will be rainy days and gloomy skies,

but also sunshine and butterflies.

I’ll bring us rainbows to lighten up our day,

and hope our passion will forever stay.

Trust me, and never let yourself down,

for I will protect you from those around.

And you’ll be safe within my arms,

no soul will cause you any harm.

Forever we will walk this path,

I promise we’ll make it last,

and I’ll stick to you and you’ll latch to me,

through the highs and lows,

I’ll never let you go.

i promise.

I haven’t been feeling very well lately: from a low fever to a creative deficit. I’m spending more time conversing with myself, which may or may not be the sign of something more serious.

I feel empty, which is scary for an artist: because emotions are paints, and I am watercolour left in the rain.

There are so many little worlds which I oft seen, so many hands which I have oft clasped and so many secret treasures which my heart oft keeps sealed. But where could I keep them but here: the hopes, the pleasures, the dreams, the thoughts — whose charms were broken if revealed?
