Doesn’t the new year always feel like it sneaks up on us? Reminiscing has a way of making time fly, especially when it gets filled up with sweet projects and good people.

It’s been a big year for everyone on our Agency team. We’ve got videos, campaigns, websites, and brands that I can’t wait to show off. Here arethe top moments of Agency’s 2017.

Social Media

With the winds changing in technology and social media, more companies are realizing the significance of a social media presence, which means our social team is getting busier by the day. We spent 2017 keeping clients like Brush Naked fun and fresh, and SKY Helicopters exciting with their Canada 150 giveaways and Postmark partnerships.

Our team also had the opportunity to start a few social platforms from the ground up, like with Glow Christmas Light Garden & Market. This event was brand new, which meant they needed everything — from website to video to social media strategy and development. Our plan included curated content, partnering with influencers, working with online magazines like Daily Hive and Narcity, and running giveaways. This created an explosive interaction with Glow social media channels, totalling over 3,500,000 impressions, over 37,500 engagements, and over 380K video views (and that was all before Christmas).

Web + Design

It was a year of a lot of change and a lot of new beginnings. The team worked on logos and websites for companies like Kitchen Art Design, Coastal Drone, and an exciting new company, Ashley West, which offers personalized hair recommendations and designer products for half the price. For this project, the team had the chance to create both the brand and website entirely from scratch, giving this company a face to match it’s bold and exciting company mission.

Video

There seemed to more and more demand for video this year, which meant our video team was constantly on the move from locations all around Vancouver to the industrial yards of Calgary to the city centre of Ottawa. One of their proudest projects included a stunning advertisement and TV commercial for Bible League.

We also partnered with Sky Helicopters for a Canada 150 campaign that made waves in the tourism industry. The Canada 150 themed helicopter was shot flying over blue skies and our beautiful city of Vancouver. The campaign exploded on social media and even got a feature in Vertical Magazine.

Copy

Most of the time the copy team’s work sits right under the surface, supporting the visuals of a video or aesthetic of a new website. From scripting to newsletters to website copy to brand development and strategy, our little team has been involved in almost every project that goes through Agency’s doors. We’ve been giving voices to businesses like Glow, Float House, Ledcor, Sky Helicopters, Brush Naked, Trinity Western, Vinyl Labs, and a lot more (like a lot more).

Events

While we may not technically be an events team, we kind of end up being an events team. This year, our social, video, copy, and design teams were working together to market events like Real Talk Summit, Moto 9, and Hangar Hangout.

What gets us so excited about 2017 is what that means for 2018 — working with these awesome companies again and even adding a new one to our roster that’s bigger than we’ve ever done before (stay tuned for all the details on next month’s blog). There’s a lot coming next year, with new ideas we can’t wait to throw in the mix. Keep up with what’s coming here or here.

Thanks for following along with us. Happy New Year!
