Drawing inspiration from real-life experiences within our office, this video chronicles a typical day for Compass agents Christine Blackburn and James Morgan as they meet with staff members throughout our teams, marketing and strategy, product and engineering, culture and leadership. Here, we invite you to meet the cast — the talents that bring the Compass promise to life every day for our agents and their clients.

Ranked among the country’s top one percent of agents, James Morgan represents years of industry success in Manhattan. Clocking $100 million in sales in 2014 alone, his knowledge of the New York landscape is extensive. Making his home at 25 Central Park West, this avid runner and cyclist makes good use of his location.

Counted among Brooklyn’s top agents, Christine Blackburn has been living and working in the borough for years. Over the past decade, the Blackburn/Barak team has sold in excess of $600 million, with much of their market focusing on North Brooklyn. Christine lives with her husband and two sons — who make cameo appearances above! — in a modernized Fort Greene carriage house.

At the forefront of the distinctive Compass aesthetic, Senior Art Director Jeff Lai plays a formative role in our identity. A former creative director at acclaimed advertising agency J. Walter Thompson, Jeff not only leads creative initiatives including Compass Quarterly and advertising campaigns, he also assists agents with brand collateral and developing their own visual voice.

With almost two decades of agent experience, Compass President Leonard Steinberg is not only recognized as one of New York’s leading residential real estate authorities and the mind behind Manhattan’s most iconic new developments, but serves as resident mentor to our agents nationwide.

The credentials of Rory Golod, our Strategy and Business Development Manager, range from social shopping platform Fancy.com to Bloomberg LP. At Compass, he plays an integral part in shaping our agent community, successfully recruiting the industry’s top talents and communicating our key differentiators.

Our Chief Revenue Officer Rob Lehman joined Compass after several years of management consulting at McKinsey & Company. His expertise at devising growth strategies in legacy industries through technology and data innovations is a perfect fit for Compass, where we’re bringing these 21st-century thinking to real estate.

Kyle Perlmutter, part of our People and Culture team, spent three years in human resources at the financial services company BlackRock. At Compass, she helps spearhead many of the efforts that make Compass both vibrant and efficient, from recruiting and onboarding to leadership development and culture-bolstering initiatives.

Sales Analyst Jordan Rodriguez joined the company from Goldman Sachs to work on the marketing team, where he now ideates and strategizes around our proprietary presentation tool. This essential digital product allows Compass agents to effortlessly develop beautiful, customizable client pitches. Thanks to Jordan, these listing presentations reflect not only each one of our diverse markets, but the individual agents who create them.

As a member of the product development team, Product Designer Celine Chang conceptualizes and designs our industry-leading technology. Blending creativity with pragmatism, she helps actualize our consumer- and agent-facing products and optimizes them with every iteration. No surprise from a talent with dual degrees in Graphic Design from Parsons and a BA in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University.
