Why I decided to start The Aggregate

A message from the founder and editor

Currently, soccer is still considered a niche sport and it is still covered that way in the sports media landscape, despite the great leaps franchises have made to create a real interest in its respective cities.

The Aggregate is hopefully going to be everything that soccer journalism is not in the United States. I decided to create this local publication in hopes to create a platform that covers Soccer in a thoughtful and insightful manner. I intend for this platform to not only tell the experiences of all of those involved with the sport but also to break down the most intricate tactical concepts so that most passionate fans can understand what they are seeing on the field.

My hopes are to one day expand the coverage beyond Southern California, but until then I hope you all enjoy the hyper-local soccer coverage of all your favorite teams.
