“I Rintocchi della Rivoluzione” by artist Paul-Yves Poumay
Events and exhibitions
Pleased to share, in this corner dedicated to exhibitions and events, the news that the multifaceted artist Paul-Yves Poumay returns to Italian soil with a new solo exhibition.
The presentation of “I Rintocchi della Rivoluzione” (“The Rings of Revolution”) is curated by art historian Martina Scavone, with the contribution of Karolina Frajdenberg and Anna Maria Griseri.
The exhibition will take place in the setting of Arte Borgo Gallery in Rome from November 27th to December 10th. It is organized by Anna Isopo and Giorgia Pirone.
Poumay has extensive work experience in banking and insurance, gained mainly in Belgium and in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and a passion for social issues. He writes for Le Monde, L’Echo, and La Libre. In 2017, he founded the non-profit organization AWI Art World Institute Asbl, which leverages art as a means to create a more sustainable world. His deep love for art derives from his childhood, when he found himself carving wood in his grandfather’s carpenter shop, but also in art history.
After many years in finance, the artist got back to his first passion and enrolled in the Art Academy of Spa in Belgium. Nowadays, he works with different mediums, which include photography, painting and sculpture. Provocative and ironic, his art has an unconventional way of questioning life while criticizing the obsessions of our society.
“I Rintocchi della Rivoluzione” is kindly supported by the Embassy of Belgium in Rome.
The Vernissage will be attended by many institutions and will start at 6 p.m. on November 27th.
