Print Options for The Tao of Blogging

So the good news with this book publisher I found is that they can produce a full bleed book at a lower cost than Amazon or other self-publisher print shops — a lot less. When I searched online, most of the well know on-demand printers charged four to seven times as much as this company, Ingramspark.com.
The other good news about Ingramspark is that they have the capability of printing hardback books. Todd Hannula 🤓, you said kitchen table book, so here’s your chance.
The only bad news is that there is a $49 set up fee to print books (which the others charge as well, except for Amazon’s Create Space).
Here is a comparison of the two companies.
IngramSpark prints on 70# white paper, with full-color laminated covers. They have two printing options, standard and premium color. Tech support said premium used laser printers, so the print was crisper.
(My original estimate was using Standard Color, before I knew that they used ink-jet type printers. The printer sent me some samples, and there is a small variation in the print quality due to the faint banding that may occur with ink jet printers. So I don’t want to use this option.)
Amazon’s Create Space prints on 60# white paper, with full-color laminated covers, using laser printing. I have some of their books and they are the quality you’d expect from a paper back book.
Since the book is something personal and special for many of our contributors, I think paying a little extra for a special keepsake is the thing to do. At the same time, I don’t want to make it tough on anyone with a tight budget. I’m willing to eat the $49 setup fee one time. For the rest of the books (if there is any retail market), I can create the paperback on Create Space, since they don’t charge for the set up.
So those are the main choices. They charge $1.65 for handling, and $3.80 for shipping. (No tax outside of California. Shipping will vary depending on where you are.)

Amazon will charge $12.84 ($9.25 per book with $3.59 shipping) as the author price. If you try to buy it through their site, the paperback will cost around $15.
Since I can’t list 50 people as authors, I can only distribute the books by buying them individually and then shipping them to each of you.
