THIS KOBE BRYANT ROOKIE CARD IS GOING ABSOLUTELY BONKERS ON EBAY ($25,000+)

THE 1996–97 FLAIR SHOWCASE KOBE BRYANT ROW 0 SURGES TO ALL-TIME HIGHS AS DEMAND HEATS UP

--

1996–97 Flair Showcase Kobe Row 0

Kobe Bryant rookies have been surging to new all-time highs almost daily over the past two weeks, but a lesser known Mamba rookie has taken everyone by surprise over the past 48 hours: 1996–97 Flair Showcase Row 0.

Demand for the card has risen at a feverish pace as investors and collectors alike rush to get their hands on the rare collector’s piece causing prices to skyrocket.

$50,000 DOLLAR ROOKIE?

As of this writing, a BGS 9.5 is bidding at $25,300.00 with 3 days left at auction. Meanwhile, a PSA 9 is currently up to 0ver $17,000.00 with 9 hours left at auction. Absolutely insane.

We had recommended this card along with Rows 1 & 2 in a previous “best buys” article, but we didn’t anticipate it taking off this high, this soon. It looks like these won’t be slowing down any time soon, due to the demand and low pop. These are already out of most collector’s budgets, but for those with more to spend.. snag them before they’re worth more than your house.

The collection: Row 0, 1 & 2 could easily become a million dollar lot in the next 5 years, maybe less.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS

Not surprising the usual suspects — the Topps Chrome, Bowman Best Picks refractors, Finest Heirs Gold and other staples are trending much higher as well. But it’s the 1996–97 Flair Showcase Row 0 — an under appreciated and often overlooked rookie that has been the surprise bell of the ball.

Many had said we “lost our minds” when we purchased the1997–96 E-X2000 Stardate for $750 and declared that we would wait until it hit 10K before selling. Some even wrote to poke fun at how ridiculous that statement was. Well, we did. And ours sold for $10,001.00. So who’s laughing now?

It’s now going for well over $40,000.00. Damn it, the jokes on us both. FML.

Maybe just listen to our buy recommendations, as we’ve had some huge paydays while adding some extremely valuable cards to the personal collection and have had some fun in the process. But, decide for yourself when to sell (if you decide to) or maybe just hold on to them (for longer than us). In retrospect, we could have made A LOT more.

Happy collecting friends!
