The top of the food chain

After three nights and four days

After three nights and four days this place feels a bit like home. It’s hard to believe how quickly people adapt to different environments. Sure, there was a bit of friction shortly after arrival (as expected), but overall the transition has gone smoothly. Nothing fundamental has changed. I live ~48 miles from where I used to live. It’s not like I moved to Siberia. I still drive the same car, still work at the same place, and still stand underneath the California sunshine.

Final thought

I suppose humans sit at the top of the food chain due to their ability to adapt.
