Experience the Alamo’s Christmas Lights After Sunset with Extended Holiday Hours
The holidays are arguably the best time to visit the Alamo. Outside of Commemoration, where we honor the anniversary of the 1836 battle, Christmas time is the most festive time for the Alamo. To help visitors celebrate the holidays the Alamo, we will have extended hours for all of December, until January 5th.
The Alamo grounds, decorated with holiday lights, will stay open until 7 p.m. everyday. The Church and Exhibit Hall will close at 5:30 p.m., so take that into consideration while planning your trip. Of course, you can still take in the sight of the iconic Alamo Church, along with our own Christmas decorations, and the beautiful 18-foot H-E-B Christmas Tree out in Alamo Plaza.
So if you were thinking about visiting the Alamo soon, stop by before the holidays end. Not only will you see both the Alamo’s and the City of San Antonio’s Christmas decoration, you’ll have more time to tour the grounds and take in the experience of visiting the Shrine of Texas Liberty.
