A message from TWG’s Managing Partners

Several of TWG’s executive team: Rob Domagala, Alisha Patel, Derek Watson, Leslie McGill, Tom Walsham.

It is an exciting time here at TWG as we make strides to expand our business, our culture and our services beyond TWG headquarters. To support our growth plans, we are happy to announce three important promotions, an organizational structure change, and the addition of a new executive team member — all designed to help us achieve our goals.

Three key promotions recognize the remarkable growth of our executive team

The promotions of Rob Domagala, Alisha Patel and Derek Watson recognize the exceptional performance and growth of our executive team members at TWG.

Rob Domagala joined TWG in 2012. Under his business development leadership, we have grown more than 10x! To say that we wouldn’t be where we are today without Rob is a grave understatement.

He is a key sales driver helping us welcome enterprise clients and national brands into TWG’s portfolio. While Rob was doing all this, he managed to find time to launch and grow an important upstart division within TWG that has now become a 10-person force. This new division was born out of our belief that if we brought our core values of craftsmanship, problem solving, leadership, reliability and collaboration to web, commerce and brand projects, we would have an even greater impact on our clients as they navigate the broad challenges of becoming digitally savvy organizations. We are pleased to announce that Rob will now take the lead as General Manager of this new division.

On the finance and operations side, Alisha Patel came to TWG in 2015 at a time when we were fewer than 50 people. Back then, we were on the verge of a massive growth spurt that we would not have been able to handle if it were not for the systems that she merged into our production branch. Alisha has masterfully orchestrated upgrades to just about every administrative system at TWG.

She has been a champion for process development and ensuring that our programs and policies reflect TWG values and culture. Alisha’s leadership has deeply influenced not only the strategic direction of TWG, but also the day-to-day decisions that impact every department. Alisha will oversee finance, talent and compliance to strengthen our company’s core operating functions. It’s a big job and an important one. As a result, we are pleased to announce that Alisha has been promoted to Vice President of Finance & Administration.

In late 2011, much to our benefit, long time TWGer (and current leader of PostageApp) Scott Tadman introduced us to Derek Watson. We were fortunate to hire a talented and passionate Senior Engineer with more than a decade of experience at startups and large organizations like CTV and CBC. We had no idea then how much of an impact Derek would have on our organization. Derek has transformed our engineering team from a band of coders to a diverse powerhouse of technical leaders. What stands out is the care and purpose that Derek has infused into our dev culture and career growth paths. Those principles are now cemented into TWG process, and are the backbone from which our Design, PM and QA teams evolve. As we grow, our need to thoughtfully and systematically develop extraordinary career paths and our need maintain a strong technical roadmap, is stronger than ever before. For these reasons, our production departments are now together under Derek’s leadership in his new role as CTO.

A focus on marketing as well as the intersection of product and client strategy positions us for our next phase

We are also pleased to welcome Leslie McGill to the team as our VP of Marketing. Leslie has more than 20 years of experience consulting to multinationals in the healthcare sector on business, marketing and communication strategies. She has spent the last year consulting with us on TWG’s growth strategy.

Our new organizational structure changes will more fully enable Tom Walsham to build out his new role as VP of Product (as was announced last year). Tom will focus on the intersection of product management and client strategy accelerating our mission to change the way organizations conceive, design, implement and use software.

These exec team changes, and the addition of Leslie, positions TWG for the next phase in our evolution. It also ensures we maintain our all-important organizational culture which is one of the keys to TWG’s success.

Thank you to Rob, Alisha, Derek, Leslie and Tom! Here’s to a great year ahead.

Andrés & Chris
