Greyhound— An Unfortunate Casualty to Covid-19

Similar to Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, this one is a masterpiece in depicting warfare, albeit at sea. Tom Hanks shows his acting prowess in this exciting movie. It is unfortunate that we could not watch it on the big screen due to the pandemic.

Directed by Aaron Schneider and screenplay by Tom Hanks this movie is a thrilling ride with continuous action. It is surprising that not only the action but also the dialogues are repetitive but yet the scenes are captivating. Full credit to the acting of Tom Hanks which gives a great experience to the audience. It is a shame that coronavirus pandemic has robbed us of the big screen experience.

The soundtrack, screenplay and cinematography are above par. There is no time for delving into the personalities of the characters. Perhaps, it was for the better. This movie revived the memories of Nolan’s Dunkirk. It is a different kind of movie. A survival movie, a pack of wolves hunting sheep. The sheep survive (mostly).

Looking at the viewership numbers it is so surprising that this movie is extremely popular in Germany, more than any other country. Of course…
