We are constantly working on making Ambire Wallet better and better in terms of functionality, ease of use and general experience.

The latest feature we have rolled out makes it incredibly convenient to transfer any assets you have in a signer account to Ambire — our neat wizard will lead you through the process.

What are signer accounts

Signers are the keys that control the access to your wallet. If you signed up with email and password, then this is your signer.

However, Ambire allows you to add more signers for extra layers of security — for example a MetaMask account, or a Trezor/Ledger hardware wallet.

You can read more about signer in our Help Center.

How to add a signer account

Adding a signer account is easy-peasy-lemon-breezy. You can either do it from the security tab, or by clicking on your account ID on the dashboard and then on the big “Add account” button.

See a full tutorial on adding signers here.

How to transfer assets from a signer account

As soon as you add a new signer that has money in it, you will see a prompt on your Ambire Wallet dashboard:

Once you start the process, you’ll see a window that will guide your through it. Make sure that your MetaMask or other browser wallet signer is connected to the correct account and network.

If you dismiss the prompt, it will be accessible from your Deposit page.

You can select one or more assets to move, set the gas fee and click on “Move assets”:

Sometimes, if you have selected the maximum amounts of tokens to transfer, Ambire Wallet will remind you that you need to set apart some funds for transaction fees. If this happens to you, simply adjust the amounts — you can even do that by clicking on the max amount the wallet tells you you can transfer and it will be automatically populated for you:

Then all that’s left to do is confirm the transaction in MetaMask and Ambire Wallet will take care of the rest.

See? Easy!

Right now, this functionality is only available for hot wallet signer accounts (MetaMask and other web wallets) but it will be enabled for hardware wallets soon as well.
