October is cancer awareness month and this year we are advocating for resources that support the emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial difficulties that influence living with cancer.

At anne thomas, we joined the campaign for One Million Individuals Fighting Against Cancer fundraising to build a comprehensive cancer treatment center in Lagos, Nigeria.

THE OMIFAC INITIATIVE- Fight Cancer With ₦1000

OMIFAC is the acronym for One Million Individuals Fight Against Cancer. This is an initiative by St. Cyril Cancer Treatment Foundation. Cancer is responsible for 72,000 deaths and 102,000 new cases every year in Nigeria.

With a monthly donation of $5/₦1000 for 12 months by 1 million people, there will be a comprehensive cancer center with a brachytherapy unit built in Africa’s most populous city.
