Welcome to the The Antagonist! Keep reading to learn how this publication can help you reach your financial goals.

Purpose

The purpose of The Antagonist is to help you achieve your financial goals through recommendations, research, and education. Every aspect of this publication is committed to integrity and service. Therefore, I only offer strategies and ideas that I would want my own family and friends to follow.

Approach

Since you’re reading this, I’m guessing that you aren’t interested in achieving ordinary returns in the stock market. That’s good because neither am I.

I also don’t want to wait until retirement to enjoy the rewards of wise investment decisions. Don’t get me wrong. Building a nest egg is essential. But you don’t have to sacrifice the short term for the long term.

My goal is to help you earn short and long-term profits that trounce the overall market and typical buy-and-hold strategies.

That’s where the title of this publication, The Antagonist, comes from. To beat the market (and as a result, most fund managers), you have to think and act differently than the majority. The Antagonist accomplishes this by leveraging alternative data sets and non-traditional research methods. This approach often leads to contrarian trades and investment opportunities that you will not read about in the mainstream financial media. In fact, I regularly go against what the talking heads say — and enjoy outsized returns as a result.

I also understand that readers have different goals, timelines, and risk tolerances. Therefore, I am transparent about the potential profit and risk of each recommendation. I provide the information. You decide if it’s right for you and your goals.

That’s great…but who are you?

My name is Jason Milton. As the son of an immigrant Filipino mother and a Midwestern father, I’ve always been an outsider. I’ve moved over 20 times and have lived in 5 states, 3 countries, and all 4 hemispheres. While my nomad, don’t-fit-in life has led to some challenges, it has also proven extremely useful when it comes to understanding markets.

In my 20+ years of data analysis and investing, my outside perspective has helped me regularly spot opportunities before Wall Street and the financial media. I’m particularly focused on leveraging alternative data that others ignore or aren’t even aware of — data that leads to huge profits. This doesn’t require betting on penny stocks or finding the next unicorn biotech company (although I’m not against either of those). You can make plenty of money off of boring, blue chip stocks — if you place the right kind of trades.

My point is that I don’t chase trends, popular opinion, or discriminate against market caps or sectors. Instead, I let the data lead me to the answer. It might be buying a spread-option on a mid-cap company. Or, it could be trading a stock that moves sideways for weeks (yes, you can make handsome profits even when a stock’s price barely moves up or down).

Is my strategy flawless? Of course not! Anyone who claims to have a system that can predict the market is lying. I don’t even have a system. I simply analyze data and exploit favorable mathematical odds to make trades that outperform the market several times over.

In the spirit of transparency, please note that I’m not a stock broker or financial adviser. I cannot and do not provide personal investment advice, and The Antagonist should never be interpreted in such a way. This publication is intended for informational and educational purposes. My recommendations represent the actions that I plan to take based on my analysis and what works for me. Any investments that you make are yours. Therefore, it is imperative that you perform your own due diligence before replicating any of my trades.

Why should I bother with a subscription?

Subscribe so you don’t miss an update. New editions are published monthly with occasional bonus issues. Buy/sell alerts are sent as soon as an opportunity arises. The frequency depends on what’s happening in the markets. This means that sometimes you’ll receive multiple recommendations in a week. Other times, it may be a month or more before the right opportunity arises. I don’t force any trade. Sometimes — even often times — doing nothing is the best move.

Patience and emotionless discipline are key to succeeding in any market. Wait for the data to reveal a clear path forward and for the statistical probabilities to be in your favor. Then pounce on the opportunity.

Each monthly edition of The Antagonist includes:

  • Market highlights and commentary on upcoming events and trade catalysts.
  • Portfolio review including performance metrics and a recap of any changes to my positions.
  • Watchlist review and changes.
  • Brief educational section on trading strategies, metrics, data analysis, and more.

Trade alerts — when I make a trade, you’ll receive an email that will cover:

  • Position, instrument, and entry price.
  • Explanation of why I’m making the trade and why now.
  • Potential profit and loss, probability of success, and expected holding period.
  • Risk assessment, rating, and exit plan.
  • Recommendations of where you can find more info so that you can perform your own due diligence. Only you can decide if a trade or investment is right for you. The moves that I make in the market are not suitable for everyone. Do your own research, and make your own decisions!

Thanks for reading. I hope you’ll subscribe today and start profiting from The Antagonist. For more updates and analysis, follow me on Twitter and Revue.
