Welcome to the Anti-Nihilist Institute!
We set up this project as a response to both the Trump phenomenon and the general mainstreaming of division, disinformation, and authoritarianism.
At ANI, we plan to cover a wide variety of topics to help you better understand what’s happening to the United States and other democracies right now — while paying close attention to the lessons offered by Russia, China, and the Middle East, not to mention the lessons offered by art and the fields of psychology, sociology, mathematics (yes, mathematics! We’ll tell you all about that part soon), and other stuff rarely covered by the talking heads on TV.
We believe in this wild idea that #ResistanceIsFruitful.
We also believe that practicing self-care and forging strong horizontal ties in society is just as important to resistance as staying angry.
