Who is to blame? Taking pictures is the most affordable entertainment. When other fun things are not available there comes the obsessive activity to be centered on the self and self -- production, re -- production and telling the grand photo narrative of the self that is in itself and nothing other than the self.
Monologic speech is possible. A conversation in dialogic speach I’d say is changing as well into monologic. Same with the writing. Quite recently we still lived in times when most writing would be called typing, to point at the absence of literary talent in narration. In the present time there’s no such concept. The typing is quite valuable.
The only good use for the typing would be sexting or unavoidable verbal description of the personal photos in order to upkeep the Internet profiles aka photolog record of the self.
