Developing a Creative Center

I recently published [Wonder and Wander] The Center Journey (2022–2025), a case study about the developmental journey of the Activity Analysis Center.

At the end of the case study, I reflected on the journey and explored the meaning of “Center” for me.

Returning to the original vision, the Activity Analysis Center was conceived not merely as an organization or platform, but as a cognitive, spatial, and temporal construct. As a practitioner, I wanted to explore a fundamental question:

How can a knowledge center be built — not as a static structure, but as a dynamic, generative field?

By the end of this journey, I realized that I had never stepped outside the center-building process itself. This center is not merely a curated repository of accumulated knowledge. It is a living practice — one of alignment, transformation, and thematic curation.

In this sense, the Activity Analysis Center is not simply a center about Activity Analysis.

It is a center about becoming a center.

This reflection inspired me to explore the philosophy of “Center” in a practical sense.
