Scalable Focus (Footbook, v1, 2025)

--

Primary Theme and Other Strategic Objects

On March 26, 2025, I published a thematic card titled “Scalable Focus” on Possible Press. A thematic card is a compact, concept-rich object that captures early-stage ideas. Each card includes a title, a subtitle, and a relevant image. I also wrote a thematic brief to introduce and contextualize the card.

In the weeks that followed, the Scalable Focus theme emerged as a strategic object within my ongoing creative process. While developing the Wonder and Wander project, I conducted several case studies related to knowledge strategy. Many of these pointed toward the value of Scalable Focus, establishing it as a Strategic Theme in the practice of Knowledge Strategy.

Today, I curated 20 articles and edited a Footbook to further explore and present the Scalable Focus theme through real-world stories.

Inspired by the format of the traditional academic handbook, which compiles scholarly articles to map a specific field, a Footbook takes a different approach. While handbooks are typically written by experts, Footbooks consist of personal stories authored by individuals from various walks of life. Both formats aim to illuminate complex theoretical ideas; Footbooks do so through the lens of lived experience.
