Episode 7 — Art of Complexity

What does a pop-up store, a campaign championing “Love Can”, all the plants in the area’s nurseries, and entrepreneurship have to do with Complexity…

Complexity is constant in this world. Yet many of us just don’t realize it affects us each and every day. Andrew and Liz Hunt, super couple, do…

“we had to think scrappy”- 34:25

In this interview, we really dive into how complexity is just part of everything in life. There are some great insights from Andrew and Liz about how to approach your relationship while pursuing your individual dreams. Both Andrew and Liz are entrepreneurs in their own right, but put all of their talent, heart, and energy into a unique project called “Love Can.” The project culminated with an ambitious endeavor to build a pop-up experience that would engage the city of Omaha with a message of hope, unity, and love.

In 6 weeks, Andrew and Liz designed, organized, and built a complete, immersive experience for the community of Omaha to participate in as a message to bring unity to our city. Hundreds of volunteers, difficult challenges, and hard choices had to be made to achieve the vision of the space. Nothing like this has been done in our city and they took on the challenge and hit a home run (yes that baseball metaphor was on purpose…Omaha is the home of the College World Series).

Andrew and Liz’s story to entrepreneurship is different than most. Additionally, they both run separate businesses, while maintaining a supportive and loving relationship. It was great to hear how they navigate those challenges each and every day and in the context of the Love Can project.
