Epilogue

As you might expect, this isn’t your typical epilogue. It’s impossible for me at this point in my life and creative journey to write the end of something that’s forever changing. I can’t tell you what comes next, because the artistic palette is ever growing. Chapters will be added, grow in size or potentially be frozen in progress if I wander away from a particular creative outlet. This moment within The Artistic Palette is simply a snapshot of my progress of my creative journey, a work in progress.

I don’t have a final playlist for you, but I will leave you with the one song that continues to be a source of inspiration for me.

“fever dream” is a song by mxmtoon, a 20-year-old singer-songwriter, podcast host, Twitch streamer and Youtuber. You might have seen her songs sprinkled in within some of the various playlists throughout this archive. As an aspiring creator, seeing such a diverse artist my age has inspired me in several of the mediums I’ve experimented with. This particular song and video utilize music, storytelling, lighting design, and dance in a way I wish to utilize my various artistic expertise within my future designs, always motivating me to practice and explore.

Thank you so much for taking the time to explore The Artistic Palette. I hope that your journey through this archive has shown you ways that you can be inspired and the potential that you have to create through “expanding your palette”. I hope that you’ll indulge in more of the works of the artists within the playlists, videos and texts I’ve shared and get a glimpse into “what tools sit on their desk”. I hope that this exhibition encourages you to return to my playlists, pick up a pencil, or grab some paint and start to create. I hope it leads you to make your own playlists that exceed the length of my examples. Finally, I hope you return to the archive, either to see the progress I’ve managed to make since the last time you visited or simply gain inspiration.
