I love my mother. She sacrificed her springtime of youth, happiness, dream, and everything for my family. She never complained about why she had to deal with a lot of struggles while her friends could enjoy a peaceful life and pursue whatever they wanted.

I can’t find enough words to express my love and gratitude to my mother. I always tried to please her in every way possible, from getting the highest grades in school to never going out at night without her permission. Because I always listened to her, I had a good education, found a good job after graduation, and became a good person.

That said, I decided not to take the following five pieces of advice she gave me before my wedding. It’s not because I love her less than before but because I love her so much that I know if I follow what’s right for me, I’ll have a happy marriage, and she’ll be satisfied.
