5 Ways to Know You’re on the Right Path

The road of entrepreneurship is a rough and lonely road. Sometimes even your own dog may abandon you, and seek the save harbor of security.

Entrepreneurship, in essence, is like trying to do jumping jacks in the shower! It is slippery, almost impossible; and you will bust your sweet little ass a couple of times. But luckily, all you have to do is turn off the running water in the shower and get out. Being an entrepreneur — not so much. But there are signs to let you know you’re headed in the right direction of entrepreneurship:

1. You start losing friends

That really sounds harsh — but it is best for all parties involved! On the path to a better life — aka “Financial Freedom”, there will be a lot of friends, family, co-workers, spouses and strangers that will look at you like you just ripped one, after eating a dozen boiled eggs! You know the “stank face”!

People love to see you doing well — but not better than them. When you start gaining momentum, and gaining ground, whether in your business, taking action like a true entrepreneur — or reading more books and not going out; you will start to lose these people in your life.

REPEAT AFTER ME:

There’s nothing wrong with me! This is a very natural thing to happen when I start doing something foreign to others that aren’t looking to grow in life.

2. Your Bank Account Starts Shrinking

Okay, this may sound extremely dumb. It may be a little crazy, actually. But — when you start seeing your money dwindle, and actually start going towards your goals and dreams; you get sort of a weird satisfaction. Even if you stay broke for a while — you know you’re not spending money on bull-crap.

For those who have been following me for a while, know I lost 12k to a sketchy company. I went for my dream, and got burned like my wife’s toast. (Sorry Honey). But, that didn’t stop me from pursuing my dream and goals! It was an expensive lesson — but none-the-less… a lesson. And I am grateful it wasn’t a million.

3. You Start Feeling Uncomfortable Telling People Your Dreams

Now once you start gaining momentum and start to see the bigger picture in life, or entrepreneurship… you start to go crazy, (a little bit). When you start to envision your multi-million dollar business, the mansions, the well-known fame, and the yacht parties — you start to think outside the box, on how to obtain these things, and what needs to be done in order to go get it!

Once people start laughing, you’ll see why I stopped telling people my dreams and goals. Employee/mediocrity mindsets — will always clash with the entrepreneur and wealth mentality. It’s just the way it is. Some people don’t want wealth. Some people don’t want to run their own business… and that’s fine; but DO NOT TELL THESE PEOPLE WHAT YOU INTEND TO DO! They will crush your dreams, because they have none of their own. They will hurt your soul — if you let them.

4. You Attract Other Like-Minded Individuals

You repel some people once you start to become an entrepreneur… but you also attract other entrepreneurs once you make it known that you want more out of life. It’s The Law of Attraction. Something I live by, and will defend til’ the death.

The weak will run from a greatness in minds; but the strong will gravitate and help make a difference — Christopher P. Taylor.

Don’t fight the ones that genuinely want to help.

They have migrated into your life for a purpose. Embrace them, and collaborate and come up with something magnificent!

5. People Will Ask You for Advice

Once you start showing the world that you are a bad mother f*^ker, and are ready to take on the world as an entrepreneur… people will ask you how you did it, and if you will teach them. Don’t be scared to teach others what you have learned. Jesus was one of the greatest teachers of all, and didn’t hesitate to reciprocate knowledge to any and every one. If you give willingly — more blessings will come back in a hurry! If you try and lock up your knowledge, and be greedy… we all know it won’t end up good. So don’t hesitate to help someone that’s trying to better themselves. They at least had the courage to reach out and ask for help. A lot of individuals never ask for help, and never achieve anything because of fear.

The path of wealth, entrepreneurship, riches and success; is the road less traveled, but contains the best footprints and knowledge. It is a dark and lonely road to walk. But once you make it past the barriers and monsters, (fear)… the view is magnificent and breath-taking! Keep walking.
