Let’s Face It We All Need A Routine…

My first leap into the professional sales world I was given advice and had no clue what it meant at the time. “Make sure you have a routine.” I had no idea why, or what it would consist of or how long it could take or anything. Now a few years later… a lot of mistakes, failures, learning, wins, and more advice I had figured out the key to this “Have a routine” deal that everyone is talking about.

It starts when you go to bed the night before. Pick out your out fit for the next day and set it out. You’ve noticed people like Mark Zuckerberg wear what appears to be the same clothes regularly… Well there’s a reason behind that. Why spend the first few minutes of the day using your brain power to determine what to wear when you could spend that same few minutes on something productive and meaningful?

Also before you go to sleep write down a small list of 2 or 3 things you want to accomplish the next day. This will make it easier to plan your day as you already know a couple of things that need to be accomplished.

Now you’ve gone to bed and you know your alarm will be going off first thing in the morning! Make sure your alarm goes off at the same time 7 days a week. Your body will naturally start preparing it self to be awake at this time and makes it much easier to wake up!

When your alarm goes off get up immediately! Do a small amount of exercise nothing crazy. A quick walk around the house or some push ups. Anything that will get your body active and the blood flowing. This helps kick start your energy for the day (Without Caffeine)

Once your done with this step then have yourself a small victory. Eat breakfast or make your bed. It is an accomplishment to do these small tasks in the morning!
