“Am I a Woman of Colour?”

Here’s what this term means to me as an Irish woman.

After reading Ruth Terry’s post on women of colour in which she discusses the difficulty of judging identity by what we see, I asked myself what does the term a ‘woman of colour’ actually mean? And, further, am I one? To answer this, I decided to throw a few of my thoughts together in a post, and leave it open to discussion.
