Don’t Let Your FOMO Hold You Back

One of the worst things you can do as an entrepreneur is let your FOMO rule your business decisions.

For those that may not know, FOMO = Fear Of Missing Out. We’ve all had feelings like this at some point in our lives.

The problem is, feelings of fear limit our potential and leave us stressed and anxious instead of where we want to be.

Working as an entrepreneur is a lot of hard work and there are plenty of sacrifices you will have to make along the way.

It isn’t fun to feel like the odd man out when all of your friends are out having fun as you’re hustling.

You have to make the best of what you’re doing and know that your actions today are going to come back tenfold.

It’s normal to struggle, get stressed, and feel like giving up, but stick to your goals and the pay off with be worth it. Every single minute that you put into your business will bring you closer to success and fulfillment.

Finding time for a social life can be challenging when you’re hustling and grinding to get your business off the ground.

This is especially true if you’re also working a 9–5, which is how most entrepreneurs start out.

Keep working hard so that your “side” business becomes your full-time gig.

You will have to decline some invitations and see your friends less. Some will understand and some won’t, but the willingness to make sacrifices is crucial.

It may feel like you’re swimming against the current at times.

Your friends, family, or significant other won’t always understand and may get upset that you’re spending less time with them. Most people refuse to make hard sacrifices or put in the hours it takes to reach success.

Keep in mind that once you get your business going, you can free up your schedule and live a life that people with a typical day job can only dream of.

Do the things that are important to you and remember to give yourself time to relax, recharge, and reconnect with people.

Are you willing to make the sacrifice? Are you willing to have a little less fun right now so that you can have the amazing life and business you desire?

Keep your longterm view in mind when you start feeling down or second-guessing yourself, and stop letting your FOMO get in the way!
