Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do

When we were children we wished to become astronauts, ballerinas, presidents, cowboys, doctors and many other wonderful things. Now we are adults and have other dreams, but still — every man in the World has some kind of a dream.

A dream is your vision, but vision doesn’t do you much good without action. Some people believe that whatever it is that we want can be achieved by visualisation and manifestation, but I tend to believe that there is another important component there — action. Vision and action are two main parts of any great achievement.

There is no moving forward without a vision

Just like a compass, vision sets the direction for your actions. When you go to buy groceries, you know that you are going to a shop — you don’t just wander around the neighbourhood hoping to bump into a store. You know where your final destination is and you can choose how to go there.

When you have a clear idea or an image of your goal — you know what are the steps that you need to take in order to get there and that makes it look much more achievable. Breaking the long way into smaller stages makes the journey seem pleasant and doable.

Do you have a dream? Run to it. Can’t run? Walk to it? Can’t walk? Crawl to it. Can’t crawl? Lie down and lie in the direction of your dream.

Your dreams won’t come true if there is no room for an opportunity of them coming true

Things don’t magically happen because you think of them over and over again. Here is a little story that illustrates it well.

Once upon the time, there was a man who wanted to win in a lottery and he wanted it badly! Every day he was praying to God: “Dear God, please help me to win in a lottery!”. The days passed and nothing happened. One day the man was praying extra hard and God appeared in front of him and said: “I will help you win, but can you at least buy a lottery ticket first?”.

Moral of the story: good things will happen to you, but you need to help them too.

Be open to the opportunities

Still, I do believe in magic. When you really-really wish for something to happen — you attract it to your life. However, the things are that you can’t know where it will come to you from. That’s why you need to keep your eyes and ears open because opportunities are all around, we just need to be ready to take them and make your dreams come true.
