“While we may not control everything that happens to us, we can control what happens inside us” — Benjamin Franklin.

If you want to live a happier & more fulfilled life, where is the best place to start in 2019?

To me, the answer is simple: by becoming accountable to every aspect of your life. This means taking ownership of your mistakes, accepting responsibility for failure, and realizing that you cannot control every situation.

Why? Because when you have self-accountability, your sense of self-worth is not reliant on external forces.

Let me explain.

We love to blame others for our own mistakes. This fact stops many people from achieving a truly incredible level of happiness. Almost nobody wants to own up to their mistakes or take responsibility when something goes wrong.

I don’t blame them.

In fact, I applaud them for putting their own interests at the forefront of their priority list. Some people have kids to feed, mortgages to pay off, and debts they need to escape. I get it.
