From Teacher to Techie, Episode IV

This week, our instruction at The Iron Yard led to the land of logic. Yes, that beast we call JavaScript (JS, for short).

As described in previous stories, this fun programming language allows interactivity and functionality in web designs and application.

Now here’s the catch on JavaScript: it is ALL based on logic. Logic is the fundamental building block of computing… and should be for human thinking. After all, humans created computers and their confounded logic!

Possibly the most thrilling point of JS is discovering the logic within my own mind. Again, referencing the creators of computers, this seems to be natural. Albeit, it is not always easy to grasp — at first.

Makes sense, right?

Allowing ourselves the time to learn something new — at any age — is one of the most beautiful facets of our humanity.
