How Ending Racism In America Will Shift Humanity

How are you feeling right now?

Angry, outraged, scared, confused, crippled, saddened?

It is healthy to feel these emotions. Acknowledge these feelings. Sit with them. I know I have been feeling anger, sadness, and a deep desire to do something about the current state of our culture.

Like I mentioned in my post last week, we are now facing our reality. In my opinion, now is the time to practice the art of allowing. We must trust that what is happening is exactly what needs to happen.

We need this destruction in order to birth the expansion of humanity.

We have had a broken system for far too long.

Now is a time to step into a new way. A way of acceptance.

We must accept each other, and we must accept that what is happening is a repercussion of centuries of continuous pain to our black and brown communities.

Knowing this, I am truly thankful for you my black and brown brothers and sisters. I honor your strength and bravery. I have so much gratitude and compassion in my heart for your resilience. And I have a deep respect for your long-endured silenced history covered up by our country's lack of conscious intelligence.

The Truth About Our Current Reality

For centuries you have continued to be chosen by God as a catalyst for unity, peace, and love.

Darkness has continued to push you and you have never backed down. You are not alone in this war. Love is on your side.

We must remember, in order for real change to happen, we need the darkness. We can’t avoid it. To me, it’s similar to an ayahuasca ceremony. We need to go to the depths of our pain and PURGE in order to rise to our glory.

Yesterday, a question came up on a hike with my fam in Sedona…

“What do you feel is the opposite of love?”

One powerful answer came out of our discussion.

My sister said ignorance.

I thought to myself… I feel that is exactly what has been happening for far too long in this country.

Ignorance to the fact we are still judging our people because of the beautiful color of their skin. Ignorance to our own history and the history of the diverse races in our country. Ignorance to the invisible programming pandemic. Ignorance to the fact that we still have a racism problem in 2020.

Don’t you think it is time we get down to the root of the problem?

In my opinion, we have broken systems. Broken systems that create broken people.

For far too long, we have created a system in America that perpetuates separation. Separation built off of greed, fear, and control.

Think about the culture we live in today, right now. We have a society that literally judges you based off of your zip code, the way you dress, the way you speak, the way you live, the way you think, and — worst of all — by the color of your skin.

Enough is enough.

I think the rebellion, revolt, and rallies are a necessary moment of destruction that is perfectly orchestrated.

We need the dark in order to birth the light. The darkness is where creation and expansion are born.

So let’s embrace the darkness right now. Let’s allow and accept that this is a moment in history that we get to create.

We will be remembered not by the roars and pain that rattle the streets throughout our nation, but how we show up for our brothers and sisters of our black and brown communities in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead.

Let's begin to see how this all is divinely planned so that we as a collective on this planet can expand and our kids, kids never again have to go through fearing their life because of the color of their skin.

Instead, we revere the color of their skin as a sign of beauty, resilience, and nobility.

It Starts With Us

Furthermore, I think it’s time we start to truly realize our power as a new generation of conscious leaders and history makers.

It’s time we start to study the roots of the problem with our broken systems to build progressive solutions.

One example is our education system that has the audacity to teach us about slavery in textbooks yet we still are enslaving our children of color in America.

A child of color that lives just one block over from a white kid somehow gets put into a completely different school system with low-wage teachers, beat-up textbooks, overpopulated classrooms, fewer extracurricular activities, fewer examples of possibilities, perpetuating a survivalist mentality, and shit food.

Why would we create a hierarchy in our K-12 school system based on socioeconomic status when we have proven backed data that shows diversity in leadership accelerates growth and innovation.

It’s time we STUDY our history.

It’s time we CHANGE our broken systems.

It’s time we LISTEN without judgment.

It’s time we ACTIVATE our leadership.

It’s time we ALLOW the destruction for powerful reform to take place.

It’s time to ACCEPT each other regardless of our differences.

It’s time we REFLECT on how we are showing up in the world.

It’s time we STOPPED using hate to conquer hate.

It’s time we LOVE and RESPECT our black and brown people.

I honor your courage and again, thank you for your strength. My brothers and sisters of the black and brown community, it is my belief that God has chosen you as a catalyst for unity, acceptance, and peace.

I know this is a painful time. We are with you.
