How to Make Friends…
Making friends was actually very easy when you were a child. Playing around in the park you liked someone and became friends at that time but that trick ain’t working now. It’s not a matter of joke and making friends is a crucial part of everyone’s life.
Socialize
The first thing to take care about yourself is that you need to transform. If you are an introvert you need to transform yourself to becoming an extrovert. Go out and be socialized. Go to places where you can meet potential friends. Go to a pub or a party or a social event. Anywhere where you can find people to mingle with. Once you reach there talk to them. Once you share your thoughts and they reciprocate it might be the beginning of a new friendship.
Do something good
Contribute to the society. Do something good and you will find people approaching you for friendship. When you do something for the society you are actually trying to make friends with the society which is formed by men and women like you and me. So think hard and show your love for the society through your actions.
Pass a smile
When you visit a new place where you might have to stay for quite a long time, make sure that you have people around you who will really care for you. When you are away from home it is your friends who are your family. When you first enter the area, try to pass a smile to everyone you see while taking a walk. You may never know the person you meet the next might be your potential best friend in the future. When you pass a smile to all those whom you encounter you will notice that they will smile back too, unless he/she is too proud of herself. The next meeting try to say a small hello or a “how are you”. This way start creating a bond and start talking a bit more every time you meet someone. Slowly build up a conversation and try to make the other person comfortable. He/ She is bound to become a friend if she is able to rely on you.
My name is XXXX and what was yours…?
When you are towards the end of a conversation, don’t forget to re-introduce yourself. Telling out your name again will keep a mark in the mind of your listeners and the next time they have to get in touch with you, they won’t have to brainstorm themselves to find your name on their brain book.
Say yes to invitations
Accept every invitation you get. It maybe a marriage invitation, a social invitation, a meet and greet invitation, a birthday invitation, it can be anything. Make it a point to attend those events because when you accept an invitation and attend the occasion you are actually driving yourself in a situation where you may find potential friends.
Making friends is a very important part of life. We are human beings and we need to talk to someone, we need to share with someone, we need to take advice from someone. Friendship is the most pure form of a relation and making friends is the first step towards experiencing that purity.
